With over 30 years of experience as a psychologist, my work has been shaped by years of clinical practice, ongoing learning, and the privilege of witnessing the courage people bring to their own growth and transformation.
Change asks something of us and you don't have to meet it alone. My approach is above all compassionate and honors the whole person. I will provide a safe environment for you to explore the challenges and experiences that may be keeping you from fully flourishing in your life. Your experiences will be heard, respected, and believed. In me, you will find a supportive, accepting therapeutic partner.
Lasting change involves more than understanding our experiences or changing the way we think about them. Our bodies and nervous systems also carry the imprint of what we have lived through. Learning to soothe and regulate the nervous system can help create a greater sense of safety and ease—not only in our minds, but in our bodies and in the way we move through the world. From that place of greater safety, we have more freedom to respond to life rather than simply react to it.
My approach blends humanistic, compassionate inquiry, Mindfulness and Somatic and evidenced-based principles. I am a level one EMDR trained provider. I also offer collaborative therapy via EMDR as an adjunct to work with your primary therapist.
You are the expert of your life and situation that brings you to counseling. I’m here to listen, understand, and then work together to help you take an active role in your healing. Together, we’ll work toward greater clarity, hope, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself and your life.
